H.E. Mrs. Mariam H. Mwinyi, First Lady of Zanzibar and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of ZMBF, together with the ZMBF Management team, met with the Chairperson of Equity Group Foundation, Dr. James Mwangi, and his delegation.
The meeting focused on exploring potential areas of collaboration between ZMBF and Equity Group Foundation in the sectors of health, nutrition, and economic empowerment for women and youth. Both parties expressed a strong willingness to work together on strategic initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Zanzibaris.
ZMBF’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Fatma Fungo, shared key achievements made through the Foundation’s various programs, including the Tumaini Initiative for adolescent girls, efforts to scale up commercial seaweed farming, and interventions addressing malnutrition through improved nutrition education.
