The First Lady of Zanzibar and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Zanzibar Maisha Bora Foundation (ZMBF), H.E. Mrs. Mariam H. Mwinyi, held a meeting with the newly appointed Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Zanzibar, H.E. Li Qianghua, who paid a courtesy visit to officially introduce himself.
Their discussions focused on strengthening the partnership that has existed for over three years—particularly in supporting seaweed-related interventions implemented by ZMBF, where the Chinese Consulate has remained a key development partner.
H.E. Mrs. Mariam H. Mwinyi expressed her gratitude to the Government of China for being a long-standing partner in development and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in empowering women and youth seaweed farmers in Zanzibar.
