Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Fatma Fungo Ally is a female 29-year-old, pursuing a Master of Arts in International Cooperation and Development (OUT). She is a Project Management and Community Development professional (Undergraduate) with strong leadership and organizational management skills. A Young African Leadership Initiative alumna cohort 30 (USAID), a distinct envoy in policy advocacy for Adolescent Girls, Young Women and Youth socio-economic empowerment flagship. She is a champion of Universal Health Coverage and youth-friendly healthcare on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, addressing GBV by harnessing socio- innovation.
Fatma is trained on the Global Fund architecture as a youth representative at the CCM CS Plus (Country Task Team) and Non-State Actors for Health representative at Country Operational Plan 2021 (COP21). She is also trained on the art of Diplomatic Communications and Principles of Protocol at the Centre for Foreign Relations (CFR). Fatma has worked as the Executive Director at Kiona Youth Coordinates a youth-led NGO, with the main objective to empower youth socio-economic development through raising leadership skills in line with national and global instruments
Currently, Fatma is the Chief Executive Officer at the Zanzibar Maisha Bora Foundation founded by Her Excellency Madam Mariam H. Mwinyi the First Lady of Zanzibar to complement the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar’s efforts with a vision to attain quality life to the women, youth, and children of Zanzibar. The Foundations three years direction focuses of three main strategic objectives; enhanced socio-economic wellbeing of women and youth seaweed farmers (Blue Economy), Improve Nutrition and Reproductive Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH)services and Enhanced safe environment to protect adolescent girls and boys against Gender Based Violence impacting more than 400,000 women youth and children in just one year.
